ARTIST STATEMENT

Born in 1999, Emmanuel Odumade is from Ijebu Ode in Nigeria. A hyper-realist, he works with a range of media including charcoal, pastels and coloured pencils. Odumade is presently working on a series of drawings documenting young Nigerians in their struggle for economic self – reliance. He believes that everyone has a voice and art is the speaker.
